Please follow the rules below so that your Chat experience will be pleasureable for eveyone!

Chat Ettiquette - Hepalog chat rooms are designed to address the topics that are associated with the subject of the room. Please limit the discussion to the topic that is being discussed in that room at that time. Other topics, general use rooms, and private chat rooms are available to discuss related issues.

Chat rooms are not specifically monitored for content, however, automated filters are in place to deal with inappropriate messages and language. Violators may be asked to leave the room and could be barred from future participation.

Forum Ettiquette - The Hepalog Bulletin Boards, also referred to as forums, allow you to post messages to other users including featured speakers, Hepatologists, Nurses, and Clinical Research Specialists. The bulletin boards are designed to be a convenient way for you to stay current with the newest information. These Forums are also a way that you can use to help you manage the Hepatitis disease, regardless of type or level of infection. When using these areas, you shall not post, send, transmit, or otherwise publish any materials in any Forum that: (a) interfere with the privacy of others; (b) are offensive, threatening, abusive, or illegal; (c) constitute advertisements or chain letters; (d) violate any person's proprietary rights; (e) misrepresent the origin of the communication or description of facts; (f) solicit requests for charity or signatures for petitions; (g) contain latent or active viruses, worms, Trojan Horses, or any other contaminating or destructive features; (h) threaten the personal safety of others; or (i) seek to collect personal information about others without their consent. It is further prohibited to allow any other person or entity to use your membership identification and password to post or view materials Electronic Clinical Research Technology (eCRT, Inc.) is not responsible for information received or exchanged in the either the bulletin board forum or the live chat center, nor does eCRT endorse any information that is obtained from third parties utilizing these Forums. eCRT reserves the rights to monitor, record, investigate, edit, delete, or take any action it deems necessary with respect to the dialogue and communications in any of the provided features, chats, or forums that are part of or associated with the Hepalog Website. Any actions that are consistent with the above declarations could result in action by eCRT against the perpetrating party which may include, but not be limited to the following: Revocation of membership and/or possible legal action if warranted, which may include a referral to local or national to law enforcement or other governmental agencies. Furthermore, neither eCRT nor any of its associates or subsidiaries can be held responsible by users of the Hepalog Website for any action or entity that is related to any third party user of the Hepalog Forum or any other entity with respect to the actions of you or third parties relating to the Hepalog Forum or any remedial act by eCRT that is intended to prevent, correct, or deter illegal or improper actions, or any failure to act with respect to the same.

Voluntary Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information on Bulletin Boards, News Groups and Chat Rooms, and other Interactive Areas (collectively "Interactive Areas"). Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (for example, user name, e-mail address) on an Interactive Area of the Site, that information, along with any substantive information disclosed in the user's communication, can be collected and correlated and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages from third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of eCRT inc., and eCRT inc. is not responsible for the discoverability of any user's identity by methods beyond our control.
